The cuisine in India is as vast and wide-ranging as its multi-ethnic culture. Students of Grade 6 learned about the food items and the ingredients used in preparing these food items. They presented a collage wherein they pasted pictures of exotic dishes of different regions of India on a large outline map of India. Like, The eastern region of India consists of states like Bihar, West Bengal and Orissa. Rice is the staple food in the eastern region of India. Quite contrary to north India, where wheat is dominant, rice serves as an integral part of any meal in eastern India.
